Job summary

Houston Methodist is hiring for multiple Patient Care Assistant (PCA) positions across full-time and part-time roles with varied shifts. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and relevant patient care experience or externships.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education is required.
• Six months of direct patient care experience or PCA externship/internship or nursing program with first clinical rotation.
• BLS - Basic Life Support certification required (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Performs delegated nursing assistant tasks under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Conducts hourly rounding to assess patient needs and documents observations.
• Assists with activities of daily living (ADLs) within unit scope and safety requirements.
• Maintains patient safety and communicates observations promptly to the care team.
• Supports patient-centered care in alignment with ICARE values.
