Job summary

Preferred Hospital Leasing Incorporated is seeking a Nursing Assistant to work under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will assist with treatments and procedures while cooperating with the nursing and medical staff as well as other hospital departments.

You will provide for patients' personal hygiene and daily living activities, help with comfort needs, and help admit or discharge patients as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
• Knowledge of patient care standards and use of medical equipment.
• Familiarity with Infection Control practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide for patient’s personal hygiene.
• Support activities of daily living for patients.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Communicate with patients, families, staff and departments.
• Assist with admissions and discharges as needed.
• Record input/output; monitor vital signs, weight and specimen collection.
• Restock supply areas and maintain organized work areas.
• Work as part of an effective nursing team.
• Transport patients and equipment as required.
• Support nursing staff with direct and indirect patient care.
• Act as patient advocate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
