Job summary

Reading Hospital is seeking Patient Care Assistants to provide nursing care to patients under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse. Duties include assisting with daily living activities, light housekeeping, and ensuring patient safety and comfort in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities also involve maintaining electronic medical records, supporting with call lights and patient/family orientation, and collaborating with the nursing team to ensure efficient patient flow and care

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Direct patient care experience preferred, but not required for employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities and basic patient care under RN supervision.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain cleanliness in patient rooms and corridors.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and document patient care interactions.
• Assist with call lights, orient families and visitors, and ensure stocked patient care areas.
• Coordinate with nursing staff to discuss patient care plans and flows.
