Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a dedicated nursing aide to provide routine daily nursing care and services to residents per care plans. You will identify residents, document care, and report changes to supervisors while maintaining a calm, supportive environment.

The role involves assisting with meals, mobility, and transfers, ensuring room readiness, and protecting residents' privacy. You will work under supervision to uphold policies on safety and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Identify residents before administering treatments, meals, etc.
• Record entries on flow sheets, notes, charts in an informative manner.
• Report changes in residents' condition to Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
• Report accidents/incidents observed during the shift.
• Protect residents' health information and report violations.
• Only perform nursing care procedures you've been trained to do.
• Prepare residents' rooms and greet/escort residents to rooms.
• Assist with packing, transferring, or discharge of residents.
• Transport residents between rooms, beds, and vehicles as needed.
• Create a warm, calm environment throughout the unit and shift.
• Meet with nursing staff to identify problems and improve services.
• Follow policies regarding exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious materials.
• Assist with daily living activities and meals, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Record food/fluid intake and report changes in eating habits.
• Keep water pitchers filled and accessible; remove trays after meals.
• Perform post-meal care and participate in nursing handovers.
• Cooperate with inter-departmental staff to maintain adequate nursing services.
• Notify facility of lateness or absences; report occupational exposures.
• Assist with positioning, lifting, and moving residents; support with examinations.
