Job summary

OhioHealth Observation Unit 1 is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patients on telemetry, and help with basic nursing tasks as delegated.

You will maintain patient safety, manage supplies, and use handheld devices for timely documentation and care coordination in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 18-year-old individuals with work permit may be considered.
• Able to perform activities of daily living.
• Willingness to work day shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, walking).
• Maintain environment cleanliness and safety in patient rooms and unit.
• Support patient safety and report concerns to RN.
• Assist in telemetry monitoring and communicate life-threatening findings.
• Transport patients and run errands for patient care.
• Perform basic nursing tasks delegated by RN using predictable directions.
• Collect data (height, weight, vital signs, intake/output) and document.
• Use handheld devices for documentation and point-of-care testing.
• Coordinate with staff and assist visitors as needed.
