Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Patient Care Assistant I to support patient comfort and safety under RN delegation in accordance with Ohio Board of Nursing guidelines.

Responsibilities include clinical tasks, effective communication, teamwork, and ensuring unit safety, with emphasis on patient comfort, hygiene, and accurate documentation. Orientation for patients and families is part of the role during hospitalization.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates key behavioral competencies such as effective communication, adaptability, teamwork, and accountability.
• High School Diploma is required.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers is required with current certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical tasks delegated by the RN in line with Ohio Board of Nursing guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Demonstrate effective communication, adaptability, teamwork, and personal accountability.
• Ensure patient and unit safety.
• Provide patient comfort and hygiene and document per policy.
• Orient patients and families to the hospital and facilitate communication during hospitalization.
