Job summary

Advocate Health Care seeks a Nurse Aide to support daily patient care and collaborate with nurses in a high-demand hospital setting. You will assist with activities of daily living and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR.

Requirements include GED or HS diploma, BLS certification, and Nurse Aide status. You will participate in admissions/discharges and handle routine tasks to maintain patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) or High School Graduate.
• Basic computer skills for documenting in EMR and data entry.
• Excellent oral and written communication required.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
• Certification Addendum required and annual educational requirements maintained.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care: bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Document vital signs and intake/output in the EMR; ensure accuracy.
• Perform purposeful rounding and communicate patient needs to RN.
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge processes and room setup.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing per approved procedures.
• Handle errands, stock nursing areas, and maintain clean workspaces.
