Job summary

Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston is seeking a patient care assistant (PCA) to support licensed staff in delivering compassionate patient care. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and help with mobility and hygiene while documenting in the medical record.

This onsite role offers an 24-hour weekly schedule with an Evening shift, and a $750 sign-on bonus for eligible new employees.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - preferred
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - preferred
• Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician certifications - preferred
• Experience in patient care 0-1 year preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes and outputs with accuracy
• Completes documentation in the medical record as required
• Interacts with patients and families effectively
• Assists with bathing, dressing, toileting and feeding
• Assists with patient turning, repositioning, and mobility; reports health concerns to nurses
