Job summary

The Patient Care Associate provides basic nursing care (personal and restorative) under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or LPN at Singing River Ocean Springs Hospital. Care plans follow CDC infection-control guidelines and hospital policy to ensure patient safety and well-being.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent and Nurse Aide program completion; CNA certification is preferred or required upon hire for SNF units, with BCLS and de-escalation training completed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of Nurse Assistant/Aide program preferred.
• CNA Certification required upon hire for SNF unit; BCLS certification required.
• De-escalation training must be completed by orientation (90 days).

Responsibilities

• Provides basic nursing care per plan of care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Adheres to CDC infection control guidelines and hospital policies.
• Supports patient comfort, safety, and daily living activities.
• Reports to RN or LPN and maintains accurate documentation.
