Job summary

R1 RCM, Inc. seeks a Patient Access Representative for LifePoint Wilson Medical Center. This PRN role handles front-line healthcare customer service, patient check-in, and coordination with care teams to ensure smooth patient flow.

You will gather patient information, verify insurance, and assist with cost estimates, while delivering compassionate, accurate access to care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and assist patients with the check-in process across multiple computer systems to register patients efficiently.
• Answer phones and collect accurate patient information quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Support timely access to care by minimizing delays in registration and answering questions with confidence, clarity and compassion.
• Build trust with patients during moments of illness, anxiety, or stress.
• Navigate diverse insurance plans, enter demographics and medical data, collect co-pays and provide cost estimates when applicable.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and care teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
