Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our Alta View team in Sandy, Utah. The role focuses on greeting, registering, and assisting patients with care coordination and secure communications, both in person and via phone or EMR.

The position is part-time (20 hours/week) with a flexible schedule, primarily on-site at Alta View Clinic/Hospital, and offers a comprehensive benefits package. Prior customer service and EMR familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
• Basic computer skills including word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy and PHI of patients and caregivers.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in/out patients, answer calls, and exchange information securely.
• Schedule appointments and registrations for visits, tests, and referrals.
• Verify demographics, insurance info, and collect required signatures.
• Educate patients on financial assistance and collect payments per policy.
