Job summary

R1 RCM at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay Medical Center is seeking a Customer Service Representative - Patient Registration. You’ll be the first point of contact, ensuring fast, compassionate, and accurate access to care for patients.

This PRN, part-time role requires day, evening, and overnight availability, with rotating on-call shifts. Must have a High School Diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask while navigating insurance and demographics with care.

Responsibilities

• Support timely access to care by minimizing delays in registration.
• Build trust with patients during illness, anxiety, or confusion.
• Navigate insurance plans, enter demographics, collect co-pays and provide cost estimates.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and care teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
