Apploi is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support our Occupational Therapist in delivering individualized resident care in a California facility. The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to restore function and improve quality of life.

You will educate residents and families, monitor progress, and ensure safe, compliant therapy environments while upholding compassionate, patient-focused care standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state licensure or certification as a COTA.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Administer therapeutic activities and exercises as prescribed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Monitor and document residents' progress and report any changes or concerns to the Occupational Therapist.
• Educate residents and their families on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to residents.
