Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for Regency Hospital in Oregon, OH. This PRN/Per Diem daytime role offers 12-hour shifts and compensation of $22.00 per hour, with weekend differentials. Nurses must be able to pick up shifts at Sylvania and Oregon locations as needed.

The position includes extensive orientation, with potential for full-time advancement and benefits support, including 401(k) eligibility after 1,000 hours for part-time/per diem staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant or certification as a nursing assistant or related field (e.g. medical assistant).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing using basin-free bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centres and assist with moving patients in stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
