Job summary

Temple Health in Philadelphia is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support RNs with patient care in a busy hospital setting. You will perform delegated tasks, help with activities of daily living, and ensure compassionate patient contact.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety, following the Hospital's Customer Service Program, and collaborating with the care team to deliver high-quality patient care. High school diploma or CNA training required; 1 year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant Program or current Nursing student with satisfactory completion of at least one clinical rotation required.
• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree required.
• 1 year experience in a Nursing Assistant role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN by performing patient care activities delegated to unlicensed staff.
• Incorporate the Hospital's Customer Service Program into patient interactions.
• Maintain patient safety and dignity during care.
• Document care provided and communicate with the care team.

Job description

Assists the RN by performing patient care activities delegated to the unlicensed nursing support staff as well as additional specific functions for which he/she has been prepared. Incorporates the concepts of the Hospital's Customer Service Program into all aspects of patient care activities. Accountable to the Nurse Manager or designee for all activities.
