Job summary

Rhode Island Hospital seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate personal care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse from admission to discharge. You will perform basic nursing assistant responsibilities, collaborate with the RN to prioritize tasks, and maintain safety while documenting patient data in the EHR.

Qualifications

• Current Rhode Island license as a Nursing Assistant.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform basic computer skills.
• Certified in American Heart Association BLS.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide care across lifespan.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care under RN supervision.
• Collaborate with RN to organize work and set priorities.
• Perform personal care tasks and basic nursing assistant skills as per RI DOH guidelines.
• Assist with rehabilitation activities and daily living.
• Maintain safe environment and report unsafe conditions.
• Document patient data accurately in the EHR.
