Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and perform basic math.
• Ability to obtain knowledge of medical terminology, basic computer skills, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients as delegated by the registered nurse and performs ADLs.
• Record vital signs, height, weight, and oxygen saturation.
• Report unusual observations or reactions to the nurse.
• Collect specimens for analysis and monitor intake and output.
• Assist with meals and feeding.
• Perform basic clinical procedures under supervision of a nurse.
• Support infection control policies and safety practices.
• Assist with orientation of new Nursing Assistant colleagues.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as needed.
