Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, and help ensure patient safety and comfort in a clinical setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and BLS certification within 30 days of hire, plus basic reading, writing, and math abilities. Training and orientation are provided to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Basic ability to read, write and perform basic four-function math.
• Ability to obtain knowledge of medical terminology, basic personal computer skills, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Cares for patients as delegated by the registered nurse and completes activities of daily living.
• Meets nutritional needs including assisting with room service and feeding as required.
• Performs basic clinical procedures under nurse supervision.
• Records vital signs, intake and output, and reports unusual observations to the nurse.
• Supports safety and infection control policies and participates in orientation and quality activities.
