Job summary

Kindred Hospital San Antonio Central is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to support professional nursing staff in patient care within a LTAC setting. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, and help prepare rooms and equipment for admissions and procedures.

Under RN supervision, you will perform routine tasks, assist with transfers and discharges, and respond promptly to patient needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CNA certification preferred.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Fluent English required.
• Good attendance record and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in providing patient care in assigned area.
• Help patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, and other measurements accurately.
• Prepare rooms and equipment for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Assist with patient transport and meal services.
• Respond to call lights and paging system promptly.
• Support RN/LPN with routine procedures and patient care tasks.
