• Able to organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities and function under stressful situations.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Aufgaben

• Assists professional nursing personnel in providing patient care in assigned area.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and provides personal care and emotional support.
• Performs more complex clinical skills under supervision of professional nursing personnel.
• Consults with supervisor about unit activities, needs and problems related to patient care.
• Provides general nursing care such as positioning, turning, assisting in use of equipment, and basic bedside care.
• Takes and records vital signs and intake/output, documents promptly.
• Prepares patient rooms and beds for admission and transfers, maintains a clean and comfortable environment.
• Assists in patient admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
• Answers call lights, telephone and paging system and responds appropriately.
• Performs routine treatment procedures under RN direction and assists with restraints as directed.
• Assists with meal service and feeding as needed.
