Job summary

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities and function under stressful situations.
• Ability to maintain a good working relationship within the department and across departments.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Consults with supervisor about unit activities, needs and problems.
• Provide basic care to non-acutely ill patients.
• Perform routine patient care activities and use of standard equipment.
• Take and record vital signs and input/output measurements.
• Prepare patient rooms for admission, transfer and discharge.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge procedures and patient belongings.
• Respond to patient call lights and paging systems.
• Assist with routine treatment procedures under RN supervision.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and maintain a clean environment.
• Support care team with direct patient care and coordination.
