Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a Nursing Assistant under RN supervision to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a clinical setting. The role emphasizes effective communication with patients and families and adherence to high standards of care.

Qualifications

• NURSING ASSISTANT 1-Required
• One year of satisfactory full-time experience in patient care under professional supervision
• Preferred: NYS Certified Nursing Assistant license or nursing aide certification, one year of patient care experience and a High School Diploma or GED

Responsabilités

• Change simple dressings as directed and assist with enemas or irrigations as directed.
• Take temperatures, pulse rates, blood pressure and respiration rate.
• Attend to daily living activities including hygiene and nourishment.
• Feed persons requiring assistance to ensure proper nourishment.
• Bathe and dress patients and maintain dignity and confidentiality.
• Possibly perform housekeeping tasks related to direct care to keep the facility clean and orderly.
