Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Oak Lawn, IL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist the RN with daily patient care, including bathing, feeding, mobility and vital signs, while using safe transfer techniques and documenting in the EMR.

You will participate in admissions, transitions and discharges, respond to call lights promptly, perform rounding and support nutrition and skin care, and help coordinate tests and communications across departments.

Qualifications

• GED/HSED or high school diploma required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing with State Registry required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding and mobility.
• Participate in admissions, transfers and discharges with proper room setup.
• Perform rounds, document observations and respond to patient/family needs.
• Support nutrition, skin care and infection prevention protocols.
• Coordinate tests and communicate with multiple departments; document in EMR.
