Job summary

Concordia of Franklin Park seeks a Nurse Aide to support licensed staff in direct resident care, focusing on daily living activities and personal needs. You will assist with feeding, mobility, hygiene and safety while documenting care delivered.

Day-to-day duties include responding to calls, communicating findings to the Charge Nurse, and upholding HIPAA and infection-control standards in a resident-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Caring and compassionate demeanor with residents.
• High school diploma or GED; PA nurse aide registry active.
• 18 years or older and able to meet physical demands.
• Ability to provide ADL/IADL support and maintain safety.
• Medication administration requires additional DPW credentials if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs per resident plan: eating, mobility, hygiene and positioning.
• Assist with IADLs: laundry, phone use, personal items, linens and mobility.
• Carry out OTC treatments as ordered and document in chart/EMR.
• Respond to call bells within 4 minutes, knock before entering.
• Report observations to Charge Nurse promptly and accurately.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality; uphold safety standards.
• Follow infection control policies and proper hand hygiene practices.
• Med Tech duties: assist with medication administration per orders and document.
