Advocate Health Care in Illinois is seeking a PRN Night Shift Nursing Assistant to assist RNs with daily patient care, monitor vital signs, document data in the EMR, and support admissions, transfers, and discharges. Qualifications

Basic computer skills.
Excellent oral and written communication.

Certification Addendum.
Team members will maintain annual educational requirements for hospital based certifications.

Responsibilities

Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, hygiene, feeding, and ambulation.
Measure and document vital signs and intake/output; record in EMR.
Perform purposeful rounding and promptly communicate observations to RN.
Participate in admissions, transfers and discharges; prepare rooms and manage patient belongings.
Collect urine, stool, and sputum specimens and perform point-of-care testing as indicated.
Complete errands, stock nursing area, and clean equipment and work areas.
Position and transport patients and assist with nutrition and diet.
Maintain skin integrity and provide necessary patient supplies like TED hose.
Under RN direction, remove IVs, provide post-mortem care, and bladder scans as required.
Practice infection prevention and proper PPE usage.
