Job summary

Senior Lifestyle in Gorham, ME is seeking a compassionate Memory Care Assistant for the night shift (10:30PM–7:00AM), 32 hours weekly, weekends required. Provide companionship and assist residents with daily living activities to support independence and dignity.

Responsibilities include helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, mobility, leading one-on-one and group activities, mealtime assistance, light laundry, and basic housekeeping within the memory care neighborhood.

Qualifications

• Experience working with seniors with memory care or dementia is preferred.
• Proficiency in English to communicate with residents, families, and staff.
• Possession of CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on state.
• Basic computer skills including Outlook, Excel and Word are required.
• Compassionate, kind, engaging and helpful demeanor is essential.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary and solve practical problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide night-shift companionship and support to Memory Care residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding and mobility.
• Lead one-on-one and small group activities and participate in mealtimes.
• Perform light housekeeping and memory care laundry tasks within the neighborhood.
• Respond to resident/family/employee concerns with timely follow-up and maintain a positive demeanor.
