PROLUX MEDICAL TRANSPORT LLC in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a compassionate NEMT Driver to join our growing team. You’ll help patients reach medical appointments with dignity and care, emphasizing safety and respectful service.

Responsibilities include transporting passengers to appointments, assisting with wheelchairs and mobility devices, and conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle checks. A clean Virginia license and CPR/First Aid are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Virginia driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Ability to operate wheelchair lifts, ramps and secure mobility devices safely.
• Compassionate, patient and professional demeanor when working with vulnerable passengers.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to use GPS navigation and smartphone apps for efficient routing.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from appointments, dialysis centers, therapy sessions, and other healthcare facilities.
• Assist passengers with boarding, exiting and securing wheelchairs or mobility devices.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers, healthcare staff, and patients about scheduling and updates.
• Follow all traffic laws, HIPAA guidelines and company safety protocols.
• Provide courteous, patient‑centered service to elderly and medically vulnerable passengers.
