Qualifications

• Valid Virginia driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Ability to operate wheelchair lifts, ramps, and secure mobility devices safely.
• Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor when working with vulnerable populations.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to operate GPS navigation systems and smartphone applications to navigate to pick‑up/drop‑off locations.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from non‑emergency medical appointments, dialysis centers, therapy sessions, and other healthcare facilities.
• Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and securing wheelchairs or mobility devices in the vehicle.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met.
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers, healthcare staff, and patients regarding scheduling and trip updates.
• Follow all traffic laws, HIPAA guidelines, and company safety protocols at all times.
• Provide courteous, patient‑centered service to elderly, disabled, and medically vulnerable passengers.
