Job summary

Hospital to Home LLC in Richmond, VA is seeking a responsible Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver to provide safe, dignified transportation for patients with limited mobility, including wheelchair or stretcher needs.

You will move patients between homes, hospitals, SNFs, and clinics, assist them in and out of vehicles, maintain cleanliness, and complete logs while respecting HIPAA and infection control.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license for more than 3 years, with clean driving record.
• Previous experience in healthcare transportation, patient care, or customer service preferred.
• Ability to lift, push, and maneuver patients and equipment safely (must be able to lift 125 pounds and 250 assisted).
• Compassionate attitude and strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must possess BLS/CPR certification or prepared to sit for BLS/CPR certification within 30 days of hire (company provided & paid).Requirements: Must successfully pass a drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher between homes, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient centers.
• Operate company vehicles in accordance with all safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Assist patients in and out of vehicles with care and dignity, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and well-stocked vehicle.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Accurately complete trip documentation and patient transport logs.
• Follow established protocols for infection control, patient confidentiality (HIPAA), and customer service standards.
