Job summary

NE-Pro in Danville, VA is seeking a reliable Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver to transport patients to medical appointments and other health-related destinations. You will help ensure access to healthcare services with a safety-focused approach.

The role requires a valid license, a clean driving record, and readiness for background checks; CPR/First Aid certification is a plus. Competitive wage and ongoing training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Background check and drug screening will be conducted.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments in a timely and courteous manner.
• Assist passengers in and out of the vehicle, including those with mobility challenges or in wheelchairs.
• Maintain a clean, well-maintained vehicle and fuel as needed.
• Use GPS/route mapping tools for efficient travel.
• Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Complete trip logs and mileage records accurately.
• Report incidents or vehicle issues promptly to management.
• Communicate professionally with clients, caregivers, dispatch, and healthcare personnel.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
