Job summary

Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to support residents in a Desert Sage Retirement setting in Bend, OR. This role covers activities of daily living, emotional support, and daily household tasks to ensure safety and well-being.

Requirements include CPR/First Aid, Food Handler’s Card, EMR experience, and a desire to enhance seniors’ quality of life. 18+ years old with a friendly demeanor preferred.

Qualifications

• Prefer experience in Memory Care Unit or Assisted Living Facility.
• Must obtain CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Must obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• Genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): personal hygiene, mobility, meal preparation.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Perform housekeeping duties to keep residents’ areas clean and safe.
• Monitor health and advocate for residents, reporting concerns to caregivers and medical staff.
• Assist with orientation of new residents and staff when assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
