Qualifications

• Authorized by the applicable state governing authority to assist or administer medication.
• Meet requirements of state assisted living medication assistant guidelines.
• Preferably experience in medication assistance with older adults.
• Experienced and interested in working with older adults.
• Demonstrates organizational skills.
• Mature, pleasant, friendly, and cheerful personality.

Responsibilities

• Administer and/or assist with prescribed medications under RN/LPN supervision.
• Verify resident identity and document drug details.
• Observe ingestion and document responses to medications.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes.
• Maintain accurate medication records and inventory.
• Provide personal care and supportive resident services.
• Adhere to medication policies and state guidelines.
• Assist residents with meals, mobility and daily activities as needed.
