Job summary

Miramont Pointe in Happy Valley, OR is seeking a Medication Technician to join our caring team. This role administers medications within the scope of your license and provides daily resident care following established care plans, under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

You will assist with dining, mobility, hygiene, documentation, infection control, and safety, while encouraging social activities and communication with nurses.

Qualifications

• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
• Prefer 6 months or more of experience in a home care, assisted living, or long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications according to health care provider instructions within the scope of your license.
• Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration and report any adverse reactions or side effects to supervisor.
• Assist in personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• Assist residents in dining rooms to provide resident care and monitoring.
• Encourage residents to socialize and participate in planned activities or programs.
