Job summary

Columbia Place Assisted Living & Memory Care in Portland, OR is seeking a part-time Medication Technician to accurately administer and document medications, monitor resident responses, and support health and safety in daily operations. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, understand, and accurately document medical information.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Long-Term Care, or healthcare preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer and document medications according to physician orders and community policies.
• Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and changes in condition.
• Accurately obtain and document vital signs when required.
• Communicate resident concerns and medication-related issues to nursing leadership and healthcare providers.
• Assist residents with medication reminders and self-administration when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate medication records and documentation.
• Ensure medication carts, storage areas, and medication supplies are organized and compliant.
• Work closely with caregivers, nurses, physicians, pharmacies, residents, and families.
• Promote resident dignity, independence, and quality of life.
• Participate in ongoing training, education, and quality improvement initiatives.
