Job summary

Paylocity in Medford, Oregon is seeking a Medication Technician to support residents with medications according to physician orders and facility policies, while promoting independence, dignity, safety, and quality of life. You will document administration, monitor for changes, report concerns to nurses, and ensure secure storage and handling of medications.

This role also includes assisting with daily living activities and completing documentation promptly to uphold high standards of resident

Qualifications

• Must meet state requirements for medication administration in assisted living.
• Medication Technician certification or delegation as required by state rules.
• CPR/First Aid training is preferred or required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration of resident medications per orders and procedures.
• Accurately document medication administration and maintain records.
• Observe residents for changes in condition and report to the nurse promptly.
• Ensure medications are stored and handled securely per procedures.
• Assist with medication ordering, refills, and inventory as assigned.
• Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Respond promptly to resident requests and maintain confidentiality.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, nursing staff, and care team.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and emergency procedures.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
• Perform other duties to support resident care and facility operations.
