Job summary

LakeHouse Senior Living is seeking compassionate caregivers and medication techs to support residents in a caring, home-like environment on the PM shift. You will observe residents, assist with daily living activities and coordinate with nursing staff to ensure safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include medication-related tasks, documenting changes, assisting with meals, maintaining cleanliness, and engaging residents in enrichment activities.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aide certification preferred.
• High School diploma/GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• CPR Certification preferred.
• First Aid Certification preferred.
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for a designated group of residents during the PM shift, checking on them throughout the shift.
• Observe, report and document residents' symptoms and conditions (skin, weight, activity, etc.).
• Respond to security system and resident call bells promptly.
• Notify supervisor or Health Care Coordinator if a resident needs increased care.
• Assist with continence management and sanitation of resident suites and restrooms.
• Serve and collect food trays; report refusals or loss of appetite.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and work areas.
• Promote cleanliness, hygiene and health through standard care.
• Help residents maintain independence and dignity; ensure safety.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, etc.).
• Engage residents in life skills and enrichment activities.
• Greet and assist internal/external customers, guests, residents, vendors and staff.
• Perform resident laundry as assigned.
