Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking an experienced Medication Aide in Citrus Heights, CA. The role involves pouring, dispensing, charting medications, taking vital signs, and maintaining resident records under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.

The position requires English proficiency, ability to follow directions, and compliance with dress code and hygiene standards. Certification in med tech is preferred; prior CPR/First Aid and fingerprint clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
• Ability to conform to requirements of dress code and personal hygiene standards.
• Ability to cooperate with other employees.
• Ability to do extensive bending, lifting and standing on a regular basis.
• Oregon Care Partners Certification for Med Tech
• Highschool Graduate
• Must have first aid training and CPR certificates.
• Must have acceptable references.
• Must have current physical exam and TB test.
• Must be able to pass fingerprint screening.

Responsibilities

• Pour, pass, and chart medications.
• Perform accucheck.
• Always preserve the dignity and self-respect of all residents.
• Practice confidentiality regarding residents and their records.
• Keep alert to residents’ conditions. Report changes in residents’ attitude, appearance, behavior, or physical abilities to supervisor.
• Promptly answer call lights.
• Complete appropriate paperwork such as charting and incident reports.
• Attending all training and in-services required.
• Ordering medications
• Contacting Doctors and outside agencies.
