Job summary

Hayesville House is seeking a compassionate Medication Aide - SIC to support our clinical team in administering medications and providing specialized care for residents. The role emphasizes accurate documentation, monitoring, and collaboration with nurses and physicians.

The ideal candidate will have a state Medication Aide certification (preferred) and experience in senior care or assisted living, with a strong focus on safety and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• State certification as Medication Aide preferred; on-the-job training available.

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration: administer medications as prescribed, ensure proper dosage and timing, document accurately.
• Specialized Care Support: provide individualized care for residents with specific medical needs and assist with ADLs.
• Documentation & Reporting: maintain accurate medication records and report adverse reactions or errors to supervising nurse.
• Resident Monitoring: observe for side effects or changes in condition and inform healthcare team.
• Medication Storage & Handling: keep medications stored safely per state regulations and policies.
• Collaboration with Healthcare Team: work with nursing staff, physicians, and others to ensure quality care.
• Compliance & Safety: follow regulations and protocols for medication administration and safety.
