Job summary

Distinctive Living is seeking a Medication Aide for The Fairways community in Naples, FL. You will provide medication management and personal care to residents under supervision, following each resident’s service plan and physician orders.

Responsibilities include documenting tasks daily, communicating resident needs to the care team, and participating in meal service while maintaining compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines. Prior caregiving and HHA/CNA certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of caregiving experience.
• State HHA Certification or CNA license required.
• Supervisory experience of 6 months or more.

Responsibilities

• Follows the services outlined in each resident's service plan in a friendly and supportive manner. This includes passing resident medications in accordance with physician orders and as stated on the MAR for all residents.
• Documents completion of tasks delivered on a daily basis.
• Documents observed changes in condition in accordance with local rules and policies.
• Communicates with other Medication Aides about resident needs for consistent quality.
• Participates in meal service including serving, clearing, and cleaning the dining room.
• Manages staff under their supervision during working hours.
• Maintains the proper certifications required by local and state licensing agencies including ongoing trainings and certifications.
• Follows local, state, and federal rules and regulations including HIPAA, OSHA, and Blood Borne Pathogen Guidelines.
• Works safely and supports others in safe practices; assists with investigations of injuries when required.
