Runk & Pratt Senior Living Communities in the United States seeks a Registered Medication Aide to administer prescribed medications under supervision, maintain MAR, and support residents with daily living activities. This role emphasizes accuracy, safety, confidentiality, and teamwork within a geriatric care setting.

You will follow the Five Rights of Medication Administration, monitor responses, document comprehensively, and collaborate with licensed nurses to ensure optimal resident care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED.
• Current and valid license as RN/LPN or Registered Medication Aide in Virginia.
• State Police background check.
• TB screening current and TB-free.
• CPR/FA training within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to meet physical requirements and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Ability to transfer residents and operate equipment safely.

Responsabilités

• Plan, implement and pass medications under supervision.
• Follow Five Rights of Medication Administration (right patient, drug, dose, route, time).
• Verify orders and resolve discrepancies.
• Observe residents for medication effects and adverse reactions; report to licensed nurse.
• Document MAR accurately and promptly.
• Maintain medication storage, labeling, and security.
• Monitor medications and ensure adequate supply.
• Maintain clean, stocked med cart and proper disposal of meds/narcotics.
• Provide ADL assistance and support according to care plans.
• Communicate with residents, families, and staff professionally.
• Attend mandatory training and participate in care planning.
