Job summary

Runk & Pratt Health Care Ent in Forest, VA is seeking a Registered Medication Aide to provide resident-focused care under supervision. You will administer medications, verify orders, document MARs, monitor for reactions, and follow the Five Rights.

You will collaborate with licensed nurses and other staff to ensure safety, dignity, and comfort. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, Virginia RN/LPN or RM A licensure, successful background check, TB screening, CPR/FA within 60 days,

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED.
• Hold a current nursing license or RM A as required by Virginia Board of Nursing.
• State Police background check free of disqualifying offenses.
• TB screening within 7 days prior to first day of employment.
• CPR/FA training within 60 days of hire and maintained.
• Must meet physical requirements and pass a drug test.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, pass medications accurately under supervision.
• Follow the Five Rights of Medication Administration.
• Verify orders and document MAR accurately.
• Observe residents for effects or adverse reactions and report.
• Maintain proper medication storage, labeling, and security.
• Provide ADL support and assist with meals as needed.
• Maintain resident rights and report incidents promptly.
• Collaborate with nurses and supervisors to ensure safety and comfort.
