Job summary

Senior Lifestyle Corporation in New Jersey seeks an attentive Medication Technician to safely manage prescribed medications and provide personal care for residents. You will follow MAR/TAR records, assist with ADLs, and support dining and activities as needed.

The role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory compliance, and teamwork in a compassionate senior living community. Prior NJ Medication Technician certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, related experience acceptable.
• 1+ month of experience in senior living preferred.
• NJ Medication Technician certification required.
• English proficiency to perform duties and communicate emergencies.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medication per Federal & State regulations.
• Count and sign narcotics before handling keys; report discrepancies.
• Order medications and notify if supply falls below thresholds.
• Notify supervisor of low stock and late deliveries.
• Verify medications against MAR and coordinate with pharmacy/DHW.
• Provide personal and nursing care including ADLs, vitals, and logs.
• Maintain med carts and participate in trainings.
• Prepare medical charts within 48 hours for admissions/readmissions.
• Attend in-services and document daily notes.
