Qualifications

• Licensed in SD as Medication Aide or willing to complete on-the-job training.
• Passion for working with seniors and caring for others.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations.
• Ensure safe, accurate, and timely medication delivery following policies and procedures.
• Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and overall response.
• Communicate medication-related concerns to nursing leadership.
• Coordinate with nursing staff to support continuity of care and medication management.
• Accurately document medication administration and treatment completion in MAR and other systems.
• Maintain security and proper storage of medications per state regulations and policy.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and provide care with dignity and respect.
• Document outcomes related to resident care, medication administration, behavior, and activities.
• Maintain clear communication across shifts and with team members.
