Job summary

Prestige Care and Rehabilitation - Pinewood Terrace is seeking a Medication Technician to provide medication services and direct resident care. The role includes assisting residents with activities of daily living, housekeeping, laundry, and other daily chores while maintaining a positive physical and psychosocial environment.

The position requires maintaining the medication room per physician orders and state regulations, communicating with physicians and pharmacies, and ensuring resident

Qualifications

• One or more years of personal care experience with older adults preferred or as required by state regulations.
• Must hold state required medication pass certification or other required certification, complete state required delegation and/or training requirements, and successfully complete the medication pass competency.
• Must have CPR certification, First Aid training, and Food Handlers permit as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the medication room and services as directed by the Health Services Director and in accordance with physician orders and state regulations.
• Process physicians' medication and treatment orders in accordance with state regulations and nurse practice act.
• Administer and assist with self-administration of routine and non-routine medications.
• Complete simple treatments and monitor residents as directed by the HSD and physician orders.
• Maintain accurate records of medication and treatment services provided or omitted in resident records.
• Coordinate with pharmacies for medication orders and refills.
