Job summary

CleanSlate Centers is looking for a dedicated Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients, providing a welcoming experience. You will manage front desk operations, handle patient check-ins, and coordinate appointments to ensure smooth daily operations.

As part of a mission-driven team, you will help create a supportive environment while offering important assistance such as confirming insurance details and processing payments.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced medical office required.
• Customer service and/or healthcare experience strongly preferred.
• Compassionate mindset and a desire to support patients in recovery.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with warmth, compassion, and professionalism.
• Confirm and update insurance and demographic details at each visit.
• Schedule and coordinate provider appointments, adjusting as needed.
• Assist patients who missed appointments to encourage treatment continuity.
• Handle prior authorizations and explain patient financial responsibilities.
• Distribute, verify, and scan forms, including handbooks and intake documents.
• Collect co-pays and process payments; set up payment plans when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized front office and uphold patient confidentiality.
• Provide courteous, effective communication by phone and in person.
