Job summary

CleanSlate Centers is seeking a Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact, greeting patients warmly, handling check-ins, scheduling, and coordinating with providers to keep the clinic running smoothly.

The role requires at least 1 year in a fast-paced medical office, with strong communication, attention to detail, and a compassionate mindset to support patients in recovery. Proficiency with EMRs, MS Office, and phone systems is preferred, in a welcoming team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced medical office.
• Customer service and/or healthcare experience strongly preferred.
• Proficient with EMRs, Microsoft Office, and phone systems.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Compassionate mindset and a desire to support patients in recovery.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with warmth, compassion, and professionalism.
• Confirm and update insurance and demographic details at each visit.
• Schedule and coordinate provider appointments, adjusting as needed.
• Assist patients who missed appointments to encourage treatment continuity.
• Handle prior authorizations and explain patient financial responsibilities.
• Distribute, verify, and scan forms, including handbooks and intake documents.
• Collect co-pays and process payments; set up payment plans when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized front office and uphold patient confidentiality.
• Provide courteous, effective communication by phone and in person.
• Participate in team huddles and contribute to a supportive work environment.
