Qualifications

• Prior experience in a medical front desk or healthcare administrative role preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical scheduling software.
• Knowledge of medical insurance verification and billing processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinical environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical administrative certification a plus.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients in a professional and courteous manner
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using medical scheduling software
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service
• Maintain and update accurate patient records and demographic information in the EMR system
• Coordinate patient flow and communicate with clinical staff to minimize wait times
• Handle medical billing intake, referrals, and prior authorizations as needed
