Job summary

Neuro Wellness Spa is seeking an organized Front Desk Receptionist (mental health) to join our clinical team in Santa Monica. The role emphasizes greeting patients, scheduling, intake assistance, and billing support in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Ideal candidates have at least three years in a medical environment, strong communication skills, and experience with EHR systems. This full-time, in-person position offers competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in a medical or clinical setting.
• Proficient multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication with patients and staff.
• Experience with EHR systems preferred.
• Completion of a medical office assistant training program is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients in person and by phone, explaining services, payment options and billing processes.
• Handle multiple phone lines, direct calls, take messages, and address inquiries.
• Verify patient information and insurance eligibility, ensuring collection of payments and copayments.
• Assist patients with forms and intake, prescriptions refills, and disability paperwork using the EHR system.
• Communicate with providers about appointment cancellations and rescheduling.
• Coordinate new and follow-up appointments using the EHR system for efficient flow.
• Manage rescheduled or bumped appointments and offer alternative scheduling.
• Perform general front-office tasks in a busy clinical environment.
• Support patient flow by balancing registration and scheduling needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized lobby and office spaces.
• Perform duties as directed by office manager or supervisor.
