Job summary

Applicants should have a WA MA credential path or MA‑I eligibility, BLS, and completion of an accredited MA program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program prior to start date/transfer or equivalent military experience with MA-I eligibility.
• Interim MA Certificate (WA) required at hire OR MA Certificate (WA) required at hire.
• MA Certificate (WA) within 12 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.
• Knowledge of Kaiser Permanente Washington MA competencies/skills inventory.

Responsibilities

• Collect data on patient health status and vital signs; document in medical record.
• Communicate attentively with patients, coordinate care, and support the care team.
• Provide patient and family education aligned with the nursing plan of care.
• Document patient history and procedures, ensure privacy and safety per policy.
• Demonstrate accountability for ongoing learning, participate in orientation and evaluations.
