Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; BA in Health Science preferred.
• MA certificate, CNA, EMT, or Phlebotomy cert preferred.
• 0–1 year related work experience required; MA competencies within one year.

Responsibilities

• Develop care team coordination to meet patient, practice, and organizational goals.
• Assist during visits: obtain vitals, review screenings, update meds and allergies.
• Communicate hand-offs clearly to providers and team.
• Perform MA duties (EKG, phlebotomy, immunizations) under supervision.
• Lead population health outreach and basic health coaching as needed.
• Manage equipment, sterilization and supply inventory; ensure PHI security.
• Enter orders in EHR, document visits for billing; queue prescriptions.
• Schedule tests and verify insurance, referrals, and pre-authorizations.
